The Mangawhai roll of honour board was unveiled in the local hall after the Second World War. It was later moved to the Mangawhai Undenominational Church, before finally being transferred to the Mangawhai Museum (opened in December 2014).
The roll of honour board lists the names of 26 local men who served in the First World War and 17 who served in the Second World War. The wooden tablet is headed ‘Mangawai Rolls of Honour’ – the name of the district was officially changed from ‘Mangawai’ to ‘Mangawhai’ in 1951.
