Moving artillery into position

Image

German soldiers move 77mm field guns into position on the Western Front, circa 1918.

A British (left) and German (right) tank can be seen in the background. The British tank, possibly a Mark IV, may have been one of a number of captured British tanks reused by German units during the latter stages of the First World War. The tank to the right is possibly a German-made A7V Panzer, which were introduced into service in 1918.
