Fundraising poster for soldiers

Poster advertising fundraising event for Sick and Wounded Soldiers' and their Dependents’ Fund in Nelson, August 1915. The patriotic societies and charities established early in the war did not forget the families of sick and wounded soldiers. Financial support from events like these was a great help to wives, widows, dependent children and elderly parents, as government allowances were small.
