Sikh soldier with mule on Gallipoli

On Gallipoli mules were crucial to the delivery of mail and other essential supplies. Pack mules carrying mailbags were led up to the trench lines by Sikh soldiers of the Indian army. Orderlies delivered the mail to the men.
