Waihi workers union hall

The Miners and Workers Union Hall in Waihi. One night strike-breakers painted patriotic symbols and slogans on the building. The next morning the strikers changed 'God Save the King' to 'God Save J B King', a reference to the American Industrial Workers of the World (IWW) activist who had recently been at Waihi.

Hi
I am interested in learning some of the history of the old hall in Haszard St, Waihi. This is where the 1912 Miners Union strike was held. Any information you can provide me with would be greatly appreciated.
Kind regards, Kim
