31 May 1840Sheet 8 — The Cook Strait (Henry Williams) Sheet

Henry Williams and Octavius Hadfield visited Whanganui a second time in the Ariel. On 31 May four more Te Āti Haunui-a-Pāpārangi added their signatures to the Cook Strait (Henry Williams) copy of the Treaty of Waitangi. These signatures were witnessed by both missionaries. Each of these signatories made a detailed mark next to their name.
