Keziah Jelley was born in Clerkenwell, Middlesex, England in 1868 – the daughter of James Jelley, a bootmaker, and Louisa Atkins. (See 51 Mrs J Jelley)

Keziah emigrated to Otago in 1874 with her family on the Tweed and they settled in Dunedin.

When Keziah signed the suffrage petition she was living in York Place with her family.

She did not marry and she died on 19 January 1936, she is buried in the family grave in the Northern Cemetery.
