The Ahitītī School memorial swimming baths were officially opened on 12 March 1963. The dedicatory plaque is set at one end of the pool:

IN COMMMEMORATION OF THE / OLD BOYS OF THIS SCHOOL WHO / GAVE THEIR LIVES IN WORLD WAR II / CORPORAL F.A. ANDERSON / FLYING/OFFICER I.E. BLANCE, SERGEANT/PILOT O.E. COLLINS / CORPORAL A. JIMMIESON / PRIVATE A. O’HALLORAN.
