Greymouth memorial baths

The Greymouth memorial baths, located next to Sawyers Creek in Turumaha Street, were opened in 1956 to commemorate people from the area who fought in the Second World War. The structure for these baths is still standing, but in 2009 the pools were closed and replaced by the Greymouth Aquatic Centre in High Street. Plaques from the original frontage of baths were attached to a wall in front of the new aquatic centre.
