I'm doing a project on Kate Sheppard and I'm so inspired by her outlook on gender equality. She has the same views on these ideas as me and she was truly an amazing women. I am so proud to be a New Zealander!

Hi, I'm a Year 13 student, finishing off a research project on the 1893 Electoral Act (granting women the vote). The Margaret Lovell-Smith Book was a good find for speeches, and articles published. The school library didn't have it, but the local one did, so maybe check all the local ones if you can't find it? I know Takapuna Library in Auckland does. Good Luck!

For those students looking for Kate Sheppard speeches, the best source is: The woman question: Writings by the Women who won the vote, selected by Margaret Lovell-smith, New women's Press, Auckland, 1992.
Note you probably will not be able to find these on the Internet (you may need to tell your teacher this). If it is not in your school library, you may need to ask your librarian to interloan it.
