Liberal and Labour Federation poster


The Liberal and Labour Federation, established by Premier Richard Seddon in 1899 to raise campaign funds, supervise the selection of local candidates and promote a consistent nationwide Liberal platform, is generally considered to have been New Zealand's first organised political party.
