Manawahe roll of honour

Manawahe roll of honour

The rural locality of Manawahe in the inland Bay of Plenty was sparsely settled at the time of the First World War and does not have a First World War roll of honour. However, the Manawahe School’s Second World War roll of honour is displayed in the local hall (opened in 1925). The hand-lettered tablet lists the names of three ex-pupils who were killed on active service during the war and 34 who returned from service.
