New Brighton war memorial

 The New Brighton war memorial was unvieled on November 1, 1925. It stands near the water, at the top of a small amphitheatre. The cenotaph is decorated with both a cross and a wreath. The plaque is dedicated "To our honoured dead"

And here is a view of the War Memorial c1930s - 1940s. A photograph that belonged to my great grandmother.

The band rotunda was demolished in the 1950s apparently.
