Ward war memorial, c1986.

 

The Ward memorial, also known as the Flaxbourne fallen soldiers memorial was unveiled November 21, 1922 by Lady Jellicoe. The memorial was made from local limestone and built by the local stonemason Charlie Butt. The small stone pyramid displays the rolls of honour and a stone wreath. The memorial is located in the Ward domain.
