The Pakiri War Memorial Hall was opened in 1955, replacing an older building dating back to 1892 (Pakiri School Centennial Booklet, Pakiri, 1977, pp. 24-6). The roll of honour inside is a plain wooden tablet which lists the names of eight servicemen from the First World War and 13 from the Second World War.
