The Temuka South African (Boer)War memorial comprises the formal entry gates to the Temuka Domain and Public Gardens.

The memorial comprises four gate posts and substantial wrought iron gates including two walking access gates and a carriage width gate, plus a 'ticket box'.

The gates are a part of the whole front wall of the Domain, and the whole was fabricated from Timaru bluestone by the mason H.B. Hall. Four engraved white marble tablets record the names, dates and place of the death of four local men who fought in the South Africa War.
