Eliza Anscombe (nee Mason, 1846-1921). Eliza arrived in New Zealand with her husband Edmund and their two children in 1874 as an assisted migrant. The children were named after their parents and were extremely artistic - Eliza as an oil painter and Edmund as an architect. Six younger children were born in New Zealand, two of whom died in infancy. Eliza died in 1921 and is buried in Dunedin.
