Catherine Booker was born in New Zealand in 1868 – the daughter of William Booker and Mary Swindell.
She lived in Maitland St, Dunedin with her parents and worked as a book sewer. She did not marry. Her sister, Lydia Mary, also signed the petition.
Catherine died on 7 March 1905 at 181 Maitland St, aged 36. She is buried in the family grave in the Southern Cemetery.
