Margaret/Maggie Frew was born in New Zealand in 1861, a daughter of Robert Frew, a farmer, and Margaret Marshall.
She married Alexander Campbell, also a farmer, on April 15th 1891 at Knox Church, Dunedin. They had four children.
When Margaret signed the suffrage petition they were farming at Pine Hill near Dunedin.
In 1911 they moved to Invercargill where Alexander worked for the City Corporation.
He died in 1925 and Margaret died at her home on April 16th 1934. They are buried together in the Invercargill Eastern Cemetery.
