Florence signed the petition on the same page as her mother Louisa Gosnell.
Florence Gossnell was born in 1870, the same year as her sister Maria so they were likely to have been twins. Florence was on the 1893 Electoral Roll, living in Frasertown and gave her occupation as music teacher. That same year she married Archibald William Forsyth, her name recorded as Florence Emily Gosnell.
Children followed: Archibald James in 1894, Louisa Harriet 1898, Ina 1900 and possibly twins born in 1907, Florence and Leslie Stephen Graham.
Florence died aged 41 in 1911. She was buried at Gisborne, Her husband put a notice in the Poverty Bay Herald thanking those who had cared for Florence during her illness.
Florence’s eldest son died at Gallipoli in 1915.
