Elizabeth/Lizzie Williamson was born about 1847 in Glasgow, Scotland.
She emigrated to Otago and married William Kelly, a shipwright, on 1 September 1869 in Dunedin.
They had, at least, five children and when Elizabeth signed the suffrage petition the family were living in Grange St.
Elizabeth died suddenly at her home on 13 August 1896, aged 49 and William died in 1907, they are buried in the family grave in the Northern Cemetery.
