Ellen Killip has signed the Women’s Suffrage Petition with her two sisters, listed below her: Bella Moir and Emily Mahoney. Mahoney was their maiden name. All three were daughters of James Mahoney and Agnes Craig, and were born in New Zealand.

Ellen was born in 1865. In 1881 she married Robert William Killip, a blacksmith. They lived on Brighton Road in Parnell, and had two children, Robert Norman and Mabel Blanche.

Ellen was widowed in 1929. She lived to the age of 92, dying in 1957.
