Alice Emma Muff was born on 21 May 1859 in London, England – the daughter of Isaac Muff, a coachman, and Mary Ann Roberts. (See 199 Mrs Muff)
She emigrated to Canterbury with her family in 1874 on the Duke of Edinburgh and the family settled in Christchurch.
When Alice signed the suffrage petition she was living with her mother and sister in Linwood, Christchurch.
She died on 7 November 1938 and is buried with her sister Mary (See 199 M Muff) in the Waimairi Cemetery.
