Frances Mary Kelly was born about 1853, she married John Bernard Neal/Neale, a miner, in 1873.
They had four children and lived in Arrowtown and Outram before the family came to Dunedin about 1892.
When Frances signed the suffrage petition she was living in Arthur St, Dunedin.
John appears to have gone to work in Western Australia in the 1900s. He died at Coolgardie Hospital in 1906.
Frances died at her home in Pine Hill, Dunedin on 1 December 1934, she is buried with two of her children in the Waikouaiti Cemetery.
