Rachel Wilkinson Graham was born about 1830 in Scotland.
She married John Nimmo, a carpenter, on 24 August 1851 in Lanarkshire, Scotland.
They had no children and, in 1860, they emigrated to Otago on the Pladda with Rachel’s half-brother John and sister Janet Thomson. (See 159 J Roy)
John died in 1875 and when Rachel signed the suffrage petition she was living in Maori Hill, Dunedin near her sister.
She died on 16 April 1918 and is buried with John in the Northern Cemetery.
