Clara Klahn was born in 1866 in Dunedin – the daughter of Henry Klahn, a storekeeper, and Ann Garlick.
She married Thomas Hugh Reeve, a painter, on April 4th 1887 in Dunedin and they had 8 children.
When Clara signed the suffrage petition the family were living in St David Street, Dunedin.
Thomas died at their daughter’s home in Wellington in 1933 and Clara died on January 2nd 1937 at her daughter’s home in Christchurch.
They are buried together in the Andersons Bay Cemetery.
