Sarah Sheeran was born on 28 April 1856 in Edinburgh, Scotland – the daughter of John Sheeran and Bridget Kerracher, and the niece of Michael and Sarah Sheeran.
In 1884 Sarah arrived in Otago on the Victory with her Aunt Sarah and three cousins.
Sarah did not marry. She died on 4 November 1932 at the Little Sisters of the Poor, Dunedin, and is buried in a family grave in the Northern Cemetery.
