Biography contributed by Katherine Blakeley

Elizabeth Agnes McGinley was born about 1839, either in England or New South Wales.

Her father apparently died in the mid 1850s in New South Wales, Australia & Elizabeth married Charles Graham Sinclair, a miner, in 1861.

They had a son in 1862 before sailing for Otago where they had a further 10 children, one who died in infancy.

They settled at Adams Flat where, in 1874, Charles was declared insolvent and where Elizabeth signed the suffrage petition.

She died at her home on 12 November 1909 and Charles died in 1920, they are buried in the family grave in the Glenore Cemetery.
