Annie Carrick was born about 1854 in Scotland. She married Alexander Warnock, a ploughman, in Glasgow in 1875.
They had two children in Glasgow before they emigrated to Otago in 1879 on the Taranaki.
They had seven more children in New Zealand.
When Annie signed the petition, she was living with her family on Cannongate Street. Her daughter Maggie also signed the petition.
Alexander died suddenly of heart disease at their home in Cannongate St, Dunedin in 1908. Ann died on 15 November 1930. They are both buried in the family grave in the Southern Cemetery.
