Margaret Martin Wilson was born in 1870 in New Zealand – the daughter of David Martin Wilson, a baker and Janet Hall.

Margaret had three siblings and attended Arthur Street School, the family lived in Duncan St. In 1873 Margaret’s mother died and her father re-married, three half siblings were added to the family.

Margaret did not marry and died on 20 September 1962 at the age of 92. She was cremated and her ashes were scattered.
