Five Rivers memorial hall Five Rivers memorial hall

This memorial hall was built in the Southland town of Five Rivers following the Second World War. The plaque on the building's exterior shows that it is in memory of those who 'fell in honour' and those who served between 1939 and 1945. Inside there is a commemorative poster dedicated to Private Ronald Muir Smith, who died at Cassino on 22 March 1944 during the Italian Campaign.
