Parker-Hulme murder, 1954

On 22 June Pauline Parker and her friend Juliet Hulme murdered Pauline’s mother, Honora, on a walking track in the Cashmere Hills, Christchurch. It was decided that the pair were not insane and had murdered in cold blood. They received five years’ imprisonment and were ordered never to contact each other again. Read more.
