Defensive position situated south of Courtney's Post. Occupied on 25 April 1915 and held until the evacuation in December. Though spelt with an extra 'e', Steele's Post was named after Major Thomas Steel of the Australian 14th Battalion, who took over the position on 27 April 1915.
