Hello,

I am trying my best to track down/find out, what happened to the horse shoe that was apparently presented to:
Captain McCraith in 1950, for mounting within the then Waiwera. The steam ship Waiwera which the first contingent sailed for South Africa from Wellington in - on 21 October 1899 - was built earlier that year by W Denny and Bros, Scotland, for the Shaw Savill & Albion Company. 163 Private Alfred Newdick, sailed with the 1st contingent, 2 Company.
