Grave

Headstone inscription

In loving memory of
Trooper William J J LORANGE
only dearly loved son of
John and Mary Jane LORANGE
of the Eighth New Zealand Contingent
Who died on Soames Island 7 August 1902 aged 19 years

Safe in my saviours arms
In my youth i was cut down
As the flowers in May
And as the grasses wither on a sunny day

Weep not for me ye standers by
For as you are once was I
But as I am ye all must be
Prepared for death and follow me

Resting in Jesus

You loved me well, relieved me best

In Memory of J W LORANGE
who died Sept 4th 1905
Aged 71 years

Rest in Peace
