Agnes Johnston married Magnus Garrick, a carter, in 1881.

They had one son in 1883 who died when he was 18 months old.

When she signed the suffrage petition, they were living in Castle St, Dunedin.

Magnus died in 1907 and after this time Agnes disappears from the records.
