Agnes Hope was born in 1872 in New Zealand – the daughter of Thomas Hope and Janet Gillespie.
Agnes did not marry and when she signed the suffrage petition she was living in the family home in Leith St, Dunedin.
She died on 25 June 1946 and is buried in the family grave in the Northern Cemetery.
