Alice Connell was born in 1852 in Waterford, Ireland.
She is possibly the Alice O’Connell from Waterford who arrived in Otago in 1874 on the Scimitar.
When Alice signed the suffrage petition she was living in Duncan St, Dunedin working as a cook.
She died in the Dunedin Hospital on 18 September 1921 and is buried in the Southern Cemetery.
