Alice Harrison was born on 20 August 1866 in Abbeylix, Queens County, Ireland – the daughter of John Harrison, a farmer, and Eliza Proctor. (See 64 Eliza Harrison)

She emigrated to Otago with her family in 1884 on the Ruapehu and they settled in Dunedin.

When Alice signed the suffrage petition she was living with her family in Phillip St, Hillside.

She did not marry and she died on 20 November 1918. She is buried in the family grave in the Southern Cemetery
