Alice Perkins was born in 1855 in Victoria, Australia – the daughter of George Perkins and Sarah Eden.
She sailed for Otago with her family in August on 1855 and they settled at Kuri Bush, south of Dunedin.
When Alice signed the suffrage petition she was living in Queen St, Dunedin working as a cook.
Alice died on 28 December 1942 in Dunedin – she is buried in the Otokia Cemetery with her parents.
