Andrena Davidson was born on 14 November 1872 in Bressay, Shetland – the daughter of William Davidson, a crofter and fisherman, and Margaret Thomson. (See 100 Margaret Davidson) Andrena emigrated to Otago in 1875 on the Nelson with her family who settled in Tapanui, South Otago where she signed the suffrage petition.
She did not marry and lived in the family home.
In 1929 she appeared before the Tapanui Magistrate’s Court charged with 'allowing five cows to be at large on the Tapanui-Dalvy road', she was convicted and ordered to pay court costs of 10s.
She died on 31 July 1950 and is buried in the Tapanui Cemetery.
