Ann Cumming was born on 2 June 1855 at Fowlis Wester, Perthshire, Scotland – the daughter of Alexander Cumming, a farmer, and Elizabeth Kinloch. (See 110 Mrs Elizabeth Cumming)
Ann emigrated to Otago with her family in the early 1870s and they settled in Wairuna in South Otago where she signed the suffrage petition.
Ann did not marry - she died at one of the family farms at nearby Arthurton on 25 April 1925 and is buried with her brother in the Clinton Cemetery.
