Ann married Alexander Fraser, a clerk, at her home in North East Valley, Dunedin on 29 June 1866.
They had six children and lived near Ann’s parents at Maybank in North East Valley.
After Alexander’s death in 1910 Ann went to live near her daughters in Timaru. She died there on 12 April 1945 at the age of 97.
Her obituary said 'she was the sole passenger survivor of the first five ships to land emigrants at Dunedin in 1848.' 'In 1937 Mrs Fraser wrote a book of reminiscences of the early days, entitled “I remember, 1848-1866” An original signed copy was presented to the Early Settlers Association.'
