Annie Fraser was born in Scotland about 1865, she married John Brown Frame, a bootmaker, in Glasgow in 1885.

Soon after their marriage the couple emigrated to Otago and settled in Dunedin.

They had seven children and when Annie signed the suffrage petition they were living in the Sunnyside subdivision of Roslyn.

They later moved to North Dunedin where Annie died on 13 May 1912.

John died in 1959, they are buried together in the Andersons Bay Cemetery.

The family firm of Frames Footwear is still operating in Dunedin today.
