Biography contributed by Katherine Blakeley

Annie McDonald was born about 1853.

She married William Hislop, a farmer, on 27 January 1880 in the Tokomairiro Parish and they had six children.

When Annie signed the suffrage petition they were living at Fairfax, near Milton.

After the farm was sold they moved to Milton where Annie died on 10 April 1902.

William went to live in Dunedin, for a time, before living with their daughter near Mosgiel where he died in 1923.

They are both buried in the Fairfax Cemetery, Milton.
