Annie Cathro was born about 1867.
She married George Elder Hosie, a groom, in 1886 and they had seven children.
When Annie signed the suffrage petition the family were living at Goodwood between Palmerston and Waikouaiti.
Annie died on 21 June 1902, she is buried in the Timaru Cemetery.
George later lived in Temuka before moving to Hastings where he died at their daughter‘s home in 1934, he is buried in the Hastings Cemetery.
