Annie McMinn was born about 1840 in Ayrshire, Scotland.
She emigrated to Otago in 1863 on the Silistria and she married Daniel McLaren the following year.
They had 10 children and lived, at first, at Warepa before moving to Puerua where Annie signed the suffrage petition.
They later moved to 'Fernbank' at Romahapa where Daniel died in 1914 & Annie died on 3 March 1918.
They are buried together in the Romahapa Cemetery.
