Biography contributed by Katherine Blakeley

Annie Tootell was born about 1870, possibly in New Zealand.

She married Richard Moore, a miner, in 1891 and when Annie signed the suffrage petition they were living in Livingstone in North Otago.

They had 14 children and lived at Hyde and Wedderburn before they moved to Dunedin in the 1910s.

Annie died on 9 September 1937 at her son’s home in Dunedin and Richard died in 1950.

They are buried together in the Andersons Bay Cemetery.
