Annie Christina Routledge was born in 1865 in Victoria, Australia – the daughter of William Routledge, a machinist, and Harriet Arnold. (See 64 Harriet Routledge)
She came to New Zealand with her family in the late 1870s and they settled in Dunedin.
Annie married James Rodgerson, an engine fitter, in 1888 and they had four children.
When Annie signed the suffrage petition the family were living in Cutten St, South Dunedin.
They later moved to Christchurch where James died in 1935 and Annie died on 31 July 1945.
They are buried together in the Bromley Cemetery.
