Biography contributed by Katherine Blakeley
Annie Eustace was born about 1857 in England.
She emigrated to New Zealand and she married Alexander Ross, a blacksmith, on 10 November 1879 in Dunedin.
They had six children, one who died in infancy, and they lived at Clarksville where Annie signed the suffrage petition.
In the late 1890s the family moved to a farm at Ryall Bush where Alexander died in 1910.
After Alexander’s death Annie went to live, either with or near, her daughter Mary in Timaru.
She died there on 4 April 1927 - she is buried with Alexander in the Fairfax Cemetery, Milton.
